Men's Hockey Junior World Cup To Be Held Without Spectators

Hockey India and FIH have jointly decided to hold the FIH Odisha men's Hockey Junior World Cup Bhubaneswar 2021 without the presence of spectators, starting from November 24. The decision was taken to avoid the crowd amid the menace of Covid-19 infection. Reportedly, 16 teams from different countries will fight for the title. The classification matches will start on November 30 and the final is scheduled for December 5.

Nitish Kumar Is The 'Shyest' CM Of The Country: Tejashwi Yadav

Leader of Bihar's opposition party, Tejashwi Yadav on October 26 said that Nitish Kumar is the most 'shyest' Chief Minister who refrains from talking about the ongoing issues of education, employment, and inflation in the state. The young leader further slammed Kumar of the poor health facilities in Bihar and alleged the need to conduct by-polls. "Running the state since 15 years yet there is no development," he added.

Railway Delays Train To Arrange Oxygen Cylinder For Little Girl In Karnataka

To help a six-year-old girl, Jainab Mondal, who recently recovered from a brain tumour, South Western Railway delayed the Howrah Duronto train for 26 minutes at Karnataka's Yeshwanthpur railway station on October 24. Reportedly, an oxygen concentrator for the girl wasn't working due to electricity issues so the railways helped the family to arrange an oxygen cylinder. Bombay HC Adjourns Aryan Khan's Bail Plea For Next Day

In the latest development in the drugs on cruise case, the hearing of Aryan Khan's bail application was adjourned by the Bombay High Court for the next day in Mumbai on October 26. Reportedly, Aryan Khan moved to the High Court after a special court in Mumbai refused to grant bail to him and two others, on October 20. So far, 20 people have been arrested in the case.

Class II Girl Asks Karnataka CM To Patch Potholes In Bengaluru

Dhavani N (7) from Karnataka's Tumakuru has gone viral on the internet for pleading to Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai, to fix potholes in Bengaluru. Furthermore, she offered her "pocket money" for it. Reportedly, her mother got her leg fractured in an accident due to potholes nearly two years ago. ''Please get these potholes fixed. They've become death traps. Many people are losing lives,'' appealed Dhavani.

Dearness Allowance Hiked From 28% To 31%, Says Finance Ministry

In the latest development, the Finance Ministry announced that Central Government employees' Dearness Allowance has been hiked from 28% to 31% of the basic pay with effect from July 1, 2021. Reportedly, the civilian employees paid by Defence Services will also get the benefit. The hike will cover 47.14 lakh central government employees and 68.62 lakh pensioners in India. Earlier, the rate was hiked to 28% from 17%.
