10,000 Protestors March Against Nepal's PM, Call To Revoke Dissolution
Demanding to revoke the dissolution of parliament, nearly 10,000 Nepalese people protested on Kathmandu's streets on December 29. They termed the dissolution an unconstitutional step and gathered in front of PM KP Sharma Oli’s office despite COVID-19 restrictions. A protestor said, “The prime minister has no authority to dissolve the parliament under the constitution. Therefore, he should reverse his decision immediately.” Reportedly, Nepal’s top court will start hearing against the dissolution from January 2021.
