1,000s In Delhi Suffer Water Shortage Due To Uttarakhand Flood Debris
The Delhi Jal Board on February 15 asked people to "judiciously" use water as the Uttarakhand floods have hit the water supply with mud and debris. The DJB vice-chairperson Raghav Chaddha informed that two main water treatment plants being operated below capacity due to the February 7 calamity that affected the supply from Uttarakhand’s Rishiganga valley. Informing ‘round the clock’ deployment of flushing ammonia water, DJB failed to assure as when issue will resolve.
