120 Planes Headed For Sri Lanka Diverted to Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi Airports
Over a hundred planes headed for Sri Lanka were diverted to India on July 13, predominantly to Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram airports in Kerala, as the debt-ridden country's situation approached a breaking point. Kerala airports have provided landing facilities for airlines flying out of Colombo for refueling and crew exchange. Since the country's political crisis and aviation turbine fuel (ATF) scarcity, over 120 planes have made landings at airports.
