2 Indian Women To Cycle 5,000 km For Environment Protection
In a unique attempt, two young women have started a cycling expedition to raise awareness of the pollution-free environment and women's empowerment. Sawita Mahtav and Suruti Rawat from Bihar and Uttarakhand have started cycling from the Wagah border with Arunachal Pradesh as their destination. Reportedly, their 5000-km journey would take them through eight different states of the country. Sawita said, "we will visit schools and colleges to inform women and girls about their rights."
