20.5 Mn Years Of Life Lost Globally Due To COVID-19 Deaths: Study
The world has lost over 20.5 million years of life due to pre-mature deaths during the COVID-19 pandemic, revealed a study published in the journal Scientific Reports. The figure was extracted by subtracting the age of COVID-19 deceased with their average life-expectancy. The study suggested, on an average each COVID-19 deceased lost 16 years of life, considering the life-expectancy of 73 years and one million deaths. Moreover, men lost 44% more years than women.
