25,000 People Granted 'Citizenship by Domicile': Jammu and Kashmir

The revocation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, has led to 25,000 domicile certificates being granted by the government to applicants who have resided there for more than fifteen years. Navin Kumar Choudhary, a senior J&K IAS officer from Bihar became the first IAS officer to receive the certificate of residency through 'citizenship by domicile', in the Union Territory.
