37% Hike in Travel Booking Enquiries, Says Yatra.com Spokesperson

Ahead of Christmas and New Year eve, the travel portals have predicted higher tourist-footfall in the domestic destinations as the inter-state travel restrictions continue to expand. According to the spokesperson of Yatra.com, the advance booking enquiries have hiked up 37% for Goa. Flights bookings via MakeMyTrip (MMT) consistently showed a 25% monthly-increment, said MMT's official. Although the numbers remain one-third of 2019, destination-enquiries for Lonavala, Mahabaleshwar, Shimla, Manali, Pondicherry, Coorg and Darjeeling have also increased.
