45 Dead, Several Missing After Bus Falls Into Canal In MP's Sidhi

A bus with 50-plus passengers tumbled off a bridge into a canal in Madhya Pradesh's Sidhi district on February 16, killing 45 people and a child. Reportedly, the rescue operation is still in progress as remaining passengers are missing. Moreover, CM Shivraj Chouhan has deployed two cabinet ministers to the spot. Besides, PM Narendra Modi sanctioned an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each to the deceased's family and Rs 50,000 to the seriously injured.
