75% Of Newly Appointed Ministers In Maharashtra Face Criminal Cases, States ADR Report
According to Association for Democratic Reforms report, 75 percent of Maharashtra's ministers have announced criminal charges against them. The state has 20 ministers, including Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, 15 of whom have disclosed criminal offences in their electoral affidavits. ADR reviewed the election affidavits filed by the ministers before to the 2019 Assembly elections. 15 ministers (75%) have announced criminal charges against themselves, with 13 (65%) declaring significant criminal proceedings.
