Afghanistan: Vice President Saleh's Convoy Bombed, Escapes with Injuries

Afghanistan Vice President Amrullah Saleh has become a victim of a roadside bomb blast, on September 9, in Kabul. The vice president escaped with minor burns in his face and hands. Over 10 civilians were killed and more than 15 individuals were severely injured in the blast. It is suspected that the blast came as a result of the first formal talks between Afghan Government and Taliban. However, Taliban has denied involvement in the bomb blast.
