African Swine Fever Discovered in Mizoram's Wild Pigs
The African Swine Fever (ASF) has expanded to wild animals in Mizoram, and vaccination is the only way to stop the lethal swine disease from spreading. The state government has chosen to write to the Centre and request that vaccinations against viral sickness be imported from Vietnam. The National Institute of High-Security Animal Diseases in Bhopal confirmed that the wild boars died of ASF.
