AFSPA Extends For 6 Months In Nagaland Amid Disturbed Situation: Central Govt
The Centre extended Armed Forces Special Power Act (AFSPA) for more six months. On December 30, Centre issued a notification which read, "The Central Government hereby declares that the whole state of Nagaland to be 'disturbed area' for a period of six months with effect from December 30, 2021 for the purpose of the said Act". The decision was in view of killing of 13 civilians by Armed Forces.
