Ahead of Assembly Elections, Three RJD MLAs Join Ruling JD(U) in Bihar

Two expelled Rashtriya Janata Dal MLAs, Maheshwar Prasad Yadav and Prema Chaudhary, joined the ruling Janata Dal-United in Bihar on August 17. The two MLA's were expelled from the party for six years for "anti-party-activities". Adding to this, RJD MLA Ashok Kumar also joined JD-U. Reportedly, the assembly elections in Bihar is due in October-November. However, the Election Commission has still not decided the poll dates due to the pandemic.
