Amazon To Build 1st Production Unit In India To Make Fire TV Sticks

In a first, e-commerce giant Amazon will begin manufacturing operations in India through Chennai-based subsidiary of its manufacturing associate Foxconn Technology Group. With production commencing later this year, the device manufacturing line could produce Fire TV Stick in bulk annually. Besides, Amazon India chief Amit Agarwal on February 16 apprised IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad about the latest endeavour and affirmed its devotion to the Centre's 'Make in India' drive.
