The government of India has decided to ban 59 Chinese apps in order to counter the threats over security in these apps. Widely used apps like TikTok, Helo, WeChat, UC browser are a few among others that have been banned. The Ministry of Electronics and IT in a statement said that his decision is taken to ensure the safety of Indians and the sovereignty of Indian cyberspace.
