Andy Murray To Miss Australian Open, Cites COVID-19 Protocol
British tennis player Andy Murray on January 22 announced to withdraw from the Australian Open despite his recovery from the coronavirus. Reportedly, Murray was scheduled to travel to Melbourne on January 23 and then observe two-week hotel quarantine period. However, Murray stated he was unable to find necessary "workable quarantine" to prepare for the tournament starting from February 8. The former Australian Open runner-up said, "I am devastated not to be playing out in Australia.”
