Another BJP Leader Dies, Party Blames TMC, Police Arrests 3: West Bengal
Two days after the death of Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) MLA Debendra Nath Ray, another incident took place in Krishnanagar area of the Nadia district in West Bengal, on July 16. Reports suggest that 38-year-old Bapi Ghosh who was a BJP Leader, was beaten up with bamboo sticks and rushed to a hospital, on July 14. Ghosh after struggling for two days, succumbed to his injuries and died in the hospital.
It is reported that Ghosh was beaten on the head due to a conflict that arose over a land issue in a panchayat meeting. The Police informed that a case has been registered and three locals are arrested. While the family of Ghosh and the BJP blame All India Trinamool Congress (AITC), the Police claims that it is a matter of personal enemity.
