Antioxidant Found In Green Tea May Help Destroy Cancerous Cells: Study
A study in the journal 'Nature Communications' reported that the compound found in green tea could boost the prevalence of bodily anti-cancer protein p53. The study claimed the green tea antioxidant named Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) interacts with p53 to guard it against degradation refining its anti-cancer functions. Stating that p53 pauses cell growth to stimulate DNA repairing and cancer cell death, the study recommended the utilisation of EGCG-like compounds for producing anti-cancer medications.
