AP Govt To Provide Free Sanitary Pads To Girls In Govt Schools

Taking a good initiative, Andhra Pradesh CM Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on October 5 announced that under the 'Swechha progaramme', the state government will provide free sanitary napkins to all girls studying between 7-12 classes in government schools and colleges. Reportedly, almost 23% of young girls don't attend classes during menstruation in India. Besides, the state government will also run awareness campaigns on Disha App.
