Archaeologists Dig World's Oldest Brewery In Ancient Egypt City Abydos
The archaeologists have discovered the world's oldest brewery in Egypt’s ancient Abydos city. Reportedly, they have unearthed 40 earthenware pots arranged in two rows where the beer was produced in eight sectors. The discovery led by Egyptian and American archaeologists claimed that the site dated back to the reign of King Narmer, who ruled over 5,000 years before. Earlier in 2015, researchers have found traces of beer making in Tel Aviv.
