ASCI Requests Social Media Influencers To Declare Promoted Content

Indian ad regulator, Advertising Standards Council of India in its recent draft has stated that all social media influencers will have to declare the promoted contents. Additionally, the council also asked for clear visibility of promotion labels on sponsored posts. Furthermore, the claims made in the advertisement will also have to be verified by the influencer. Open for public debate till March 8, the draft is expected to be rolled out by April 15.
