ASER Report Indicates Over 60% School Students Can Take Online Classes
The Annual Status of Education Report (ASER), 2020 has revealed that over 60% of enrolled student’s family have at least one smartphone to take online classes during the pandemic. Also, children in lower classes have received more family support than higher ones. While one-third of children received learning materials from teachers, most of them had personal contacts with teacher. Reportedly, private schools outperformed government ones and WhatsApp emerged as most-common medium of education.
