Assam Launches Plasma Donation Drive 'Lohitanjali'

In Assam, Junior Doctors' Association has launched 'Lohitanjali', a plasma donation drive, in collaboration with National Health Mission. Lauding the efforts of the organisers, Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma said that many of the 'Jawans' from Assam Rifles had contracted the virus and were now volunteering to donate plasma. One of the doctors from the association opined that plasma therapy was effective on patients with moderate symptoms.
