The attack on CRPF was not an intelligence failure: CRPF Director-General
The Director-General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Kuldeep Singh, dismissed allegations that the encounter with the Maoists in Chhattisgarh was due to failure in intelligence. According to intelligence, a considerable amount of damage was inflicted on the Maoist group leaving more than one-third of their people dead and a few more injured. The ambushed troops were attacked by roughly 600 Maoists, injuring and killing several CRPF personnel.
