Australian Navy Divers Tow Off Unexploded 45 Kg Bomb
The divers of the Australian Navy have towed off an unexploded bomb to deeper waters. The 45 kilogram bomb was found by a fisherman in April at Elizabeth Reef near Lord Howe Island. Reportedly, the Unexploded Ordinance (UXO) was carefully removed and towed off by a ship into 550-metre-deep waters. However, due to the deterioration of the device, the origin of the bomb could not be found.
