The Babri Verdict Runs Counter To The Constitutional Spirit, Randeep Singh Surjewala Says

Congress General secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala has stated that the the verdict of Babri Masjid demolition case runs against the constitutional spirit of the country. Citing Supreme Court's judgement from November 2019 that the demolition is 'egregious violation of rule of law', he said the special court ignored the apex court's decision. He blamed the then BJP Government of Uttar Pradesh to be a key confederate in the Masjid's demolition. He also mentioned that people who have faith in constitutional bodies wanted the centre to appeal against the verdict of the special court.
