Bada Business, ISKCON Fundraiser Raises 7.5 Cr For COVID-19 Relief
Indian Ed-tech startup Bada Business started a fundraising initiative #IamOxygenMan in association with Kailash Kher Foundation and ISKCON which garnered over 1 million views on YouTube raising Rs 7.5 crores for COVID-19 relief. The campaign aims to increase the bed capacity from 200 to 2000 for its makeshift hospital for COVID-19 patients in Dwarka, Delhi. Founder and CEO of Bada Business Dr. Vivek Bindra stated that the amount raised will be used for the extension of healthcare facilities nationwide. The virtual event co-hosted by actor Vivek Oberoi was attended by singer Kailash Kher, HH Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaj ji, Hema Malini, Shaan, Shankar Mahadevan, Daler Mehndi, Mika Singh, Sunil Grover, Sonu Nigam, Manoj Muntashir, Ashish Chauhan, Lalit Agarwal, Ritesh Agarwal and others. The initiative was stated to raise awareness and help people with possible resources during the COVID-19 surge. Participants at the fundraiser called the people who helped irrespective of any background as an ‘OxygenMan.’
