Bangalore Enjoys Easy Win After Its Bowlers Cripple Kolkata's Batting
Royal Challengers Bangalore enjoyed an easy win over the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 39th match of IPL 2020. Winning the toss, Kolkata skipper Eoin Morgan decided to bat first, which turned out to be a disaster. Kolkata's top-order tumbled severely as RCB's Mohammed Siraj struck three early wickets that too when the Knights were at just three runs. It was Siraj's career-best bowling figure too, conceding only eight runs and dismissing three batsmen. Saini, Chahal and Sundar crippled the Knights further. Kolkata kept on losing wickets at regular intervals and could not make a comeback throughout the inning. At the end of the 20 overs, Knights gave a target of mere 85 runs to the mighty batting line-up of the Challengers. Even though the target was low, Bangalore did not show hurry in chasing it down. Bangalore chased the target in 13.3 overs at the loss of two wickets, and secured second spot in the points table.
