Bangalore University Convocation Goes Online; Cancels Honorary Doctorate

Bangalore University (BU) has reportedly decided to hold its 55th annual convocation virtually. The convocation, which was supposed to be held in April, was postponed owing to the pandemic. The university has also decided not to award honorary doctorate this year. The BU Vice-Chancellor Prof KR Venugopal cited the lengthy selection process, which cannot be carried out in the present situation, as the reason for cancellation of the doctorate.
