Bangladeshi Cricketer Shakib Receives Threats After Attending Kali Puja Event

Major controversy sparked after Bangladeshi cricketer Shakib Al Hasan visited at a Kali Puja event in Kolkata. The cricketer received threats from Islamists for inaugurating the ceremony. However, TMC MLA Paresh Paul clarified that Shakib was called only as a guest as he was visiting the city. Morever, the police arrested the man who threatened to kill Shakib. Later, Shakib posted an apology video and mentioned himself as a proud Muslim.
