UP: Banners On Crematorium Sites' Walls Taken Down After Pics Go Viral

UP’s Gorakhpur Municipal Corporation have removed the banners put on the walls of crematorium sites to prevent people from taking photos of the dead bodies burnt. The curtains were removed after the images went viral on social media. Reportedly, the banners read that bodies were cremated as per Hindu rituals and taking pictures would be a punishable offense. Earlier, Lucknow’s civic body also placed makeshift walls blocking view of crematorium sites.
