Bengal: CPI(M) Defers Conducting Big Rallies As COVID Threat Intensifies
Amid the sudden spike in COVID-19 cases, the CPI(M) has cancelled to hold big rallies. The party on April 14 stated to conduct only door-to-door and social media campaigning for the remaining phases of the West Bengal Assembly elections. CPI(M) leader Md Salim stated, "We will undertake door to doors and small group meetings with all Covid-19 measures in place." Meanwhile, ruling TMC has blamed the Centre for the crisis.
