Bengal Polls: Violence Hit Phase-4 Records 76.16% Voter Turnout
Amid violence, the fourth-phase of the West Bengal Assembly polls recorded 76.16% voter turnout on April 10. Deciding fate of 373 candidates from 44 constituencies, the violence-marred polls reported five deaths including four people killed in firing by CISF personnel in Cooch Behar. However, following the incident, the Election Commission barred the entry of political leaders in Cooch Behar. Meanwhile, BJP and TMC have accused each other for the violence.
