Bengaluru Riots: Crime Branch Arrests Former Congress Corporator

The Central Crime Branch of Bengaluru Police on November 2 nabbed a key accused of the Bengaluru riots, Rakib Zakir. The former Congress corporator, Rakib, was absconding since the riots. The Bengaluru riots that had happened in August left three people dead and nearly 60 policemen were injured. The NIA is currently investigating the riots, for which internal rift within the Congress party has been cited as a major reason.
