Bengaluru Sees Decline In COVID Cases; ICU Demand Still High
Bengaluru has still been struggling with the rising ICU demand, although the tally of COVID-19 cases in the city has declined. "No ICU bed is vacant for more than 30 minutes," said Private Hospitals' Association president Dr Prasanna HM. As for the falling of COVID cases, experts cited lockdown-intensified testing hesitancy and delayed treatment as probable reasons. Reportedly, Bengaluru has 587 ICU and 597 ICU-ventilator for government-quota COVID patients.
