BESCOM Replaces Mechanical Metres With User-Friendly Digital Metres In Bengaluru

Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) has begun replacing old electromechanical metres in Bangalore with consumer-friendly digital metres that would inform consumers about voltage variations, use trends, and so forth. The work on the replacement began in the first week of July, and digital device language message standard static metres are now being installed in BESCOM divisions. According to BESCOM officials, the cost of installing digital metres is Rs 285.16 crore.
