Bihar Appoints Teams To Conduct Statewide Probe Into COVID Test Data

After the fake COVID-19 testing scam surfaced in Bihar, the state’s Health Ministry on February 13 appointed 10 teams to check the testing data from all 38 districts. Furthermore, serving a show-cause notice to the medical officers of Araria, Forbesganj and Purnaiah PHCs, an investigation has also been initiated in 26 districts. Earlier, a newspaper investigation had found various PHCs' COVID-19 data pervaded with fake names and contact details to meet daily targets.
