Bihar: Health Survey Reveals 42.8% Of Children Suffer Malnutrition
In a shocking revelation, Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey on February 24 informed the Legislative Council that 42.8% of children suffer from severe malnourishment. Resultantly, health cards were circulated among 1.22 crore minors, rendering supplemental doses. Moreover, 63.5% of children between six months to five years are anaemic, for which iron-folic syrups were distributed. Moreover, children with acute anaemia were treated under the national child health programme.
