Blackout Tuesday: Social Media halts in solidarity with George Floyd protests
The #BlackoutTuesday hashtag dominated social media on June 2 as millions of users around the world, including actors, artists, musicians, sportspersons, etc. posted black squares in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
The movement started after people from the music industry decided to pause all business and take a stand against inherent racism.
Till now, Instagram has seen 23 million posts with #blackouttuesday.
