Boat Accident In Nigeria’s Anambra Leaves At Least 76 Dead

In Nigeria’s Anambra, a boat carrying 85 persons capsized following rising floods on October 9. Following the tragedy, central agencies rushed to carry out search and rescue missions. The incident left as many as 76 persons dead, and Nigerian president Muhammadu Buhari expressed his sadness over the incident. He also directed the authorities to ensure necessary safety protocols are being followed to avoid such horrific incidents in the future.
