Bombay HC Temporarily Halts Metro Car Shed Project At Kanjurmag

The metro car shed project in Mumbai's Kanjurmag has been put on hold by the Bombay High Court until further orders. The project was shifted to Kanjurmag from Aarey after environmentalists had protested against the BJP-led government last year. Commenting on the issue, CM Uddhav Thackeray stated, "Politics shouldn't come in the way of the development". Reportedly, the order was issued since the state and centre fought over the site's ownership.
