Cabinet Accedes Puducherry L-G's Proposal To Impose President's Rule
Yielding to Puducherry's current Lieutenant General Tamilisai Soundarajan's recommendation, the Union Cabinet has agreed to impose President's rule in the union territory. Tamilisai's proposal arrived following the back-to-back political developments in the UT, including the Congress-led government's collapse during a trust vote and CM V Narayanasamy's consequent resignation. Meanwhile, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar has informed that the assembly would get resolved after the President's assent, and additional measures for administrative work will succeed.
