Central Army Forces Deployed In WB, Ahead Of The State Election

Around 125 battalion of central forces have been deployed in West Bengal by the Election Commission of India, ahead of state-poll. The deployment includes 60 companies of CRPF, 30 Sashastra Seema Bal companies and five companies each of CISF and ITBP. Specially focusing on sensitive zones like Purulia and Jhargram, the EC has requested district administrations to arrange for accommodation and logistics of para forces deployed for the assembly polls slated in April-May 2021.
