Centre Bans Supply Of Oxygen For Industrial Purposes
The Centre has decided to ban the supply of oxygen for all industrial purposes from April 22. The decision aims to meet up the demand of medical oxygen in COVID facilities across the country. However, nine specified industries, including steel plants, pharmaceuticals, and petroleum refineries, are exempted from the ban. Earlier, the government has issued an emergency order to facilitate the transportation of oxygen cylinders across state borders.
