Centre Launches Mission To Improve Digital Infrastructure Of Cities

Union Housing Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on February 23 launched the 'National Urban Digital Mission' (NUDM). To be rolled out across the nation, the mission aims at creating digital infrastructure for cities. Moreover, it also eyes to establish a citizen-centric approach towards urban governance by 2022. The Centre also launched India Urban Data Exchange, SmartCode, Smart Cities 2.0 website, and Geospatial Management Information System for urban governance.
