Centre Regards 50 Lakh COVID-19 Vaccines for First Batch, Larger Demand Expected

The Centre is planning to have an initial batch of 50 lakhs COVID-19 vaccines for the front-liners, army personnel, and vulnerable individuals. The strategies for supply chains and distribution are being formulated for when the vaccine doses pass the regulatory requirements and are available for all. According to sources, by the end of 2020, more than one possible vaccine candidate might be available to cater to large sections of people.
