Centre Revises COVID-19 Testing Rules; No Test For Hospital Discharge

The Centre on May 4 stated that "healthy individuals undertaking inter-state domestic travel" and "COVID-19-recovered individuals at the time of hospital discharge" do not need to undergo COVID-19 tests. Revising the testing guidelines, the government stated that the decision has been taken to ease the load of already overwhelmed testing laboratories. Besides, individuals detected positive in RT-PCR or rapid tests once, will not be tested again.
