Centre To Set Up New University To Promote Indian languages
In an attempt to promote Indian languages, the Centre has proposed to set up Bharatiya Bhasha Vishwavidyalaya (BBV) and Indian Institute of Translation and Interpretation (IITI). For this, the government has constituted an eleven-member panel as well. The panel is tasked to chalk-out the blueprint, based on which the proposed BBV and IITI would function. It will also suggest ways for easy conversion of Mysuru's Central Institute of Indian Languages into BBV and IITI.
