Chandigarh Gets Its First Electrical Vehicle Charging Station

Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has signed a strategic co-operation document with Quick Interchange Service (QIS), a battery swapping facility to quick charge electric vehicles at their petrol stations in twenty five selected cities all around India. The first QIS charging station was inaugurated in Chandigarh and is facilitated with 14 batteries. Only electric autos, rickshaws and 2-wheelers can avail the service.
